Layered, modular, imposing. Metra is a suspended architecture that translates the verticality of the city into a luminous object with a strong and distinctive character. Three geometric volumes overlap in an ascending rhythm, evoking the dizzying vertical landscape of large urban contexts, the rigor of fortified towers, and the monumental order of the "Metropolis" imagined by Fritz Lang. Its hidden complexity arises from a bold manufacturing process: each ceramic element is cast separately, with complex molds in which each face is in turn a separate element, allowing for polychrome finishes with glazes of different hues. This modularity is not only aesthetic, but functional: each individual volume can stand alone, transforming into a small linear suspension, allowing for customized lighting configurations. The grooved surfaces and ceramic finishes enhance the interplay of shadows and reflections, while the light is focused downward with sculptural precision. Metra is not just a lamp, but an architectural lighting system, a modular construction that interacts with and adapts to its surroundings.
