Cerno’s product development team prioritized the utility of the Allavo vanity, while not ignoring the importance of the aesthetic. Drawing from our experience with product photography, we knew that a large diffuse light source was the key to achieving our goal. The novel design uses indirect lighting that bounces off a curved metal surface. Cerno's signature use of wood is integrated seamlessly into a design we believe harmonizes usefulness and beauty.

Veris was a concept we started exploring ten years ago. Two offset layers of petals simultaneously shield the light source while allowing reflected light to wash the inside petals, creating a dramatic ambient luminaire. The form materializes through a series of processes that utilize cutting edge CNC laser technology but still rely on skilled hand-rolling and bending of the aluminum petals.

Casia is a fresh and innovative approach to a flush mount light fixture. Each carefully selected material plays an integral role in the aesthetic design and performance. The wood arms, metal shade, and glass diffuser combine to create a minimalist form well suited for a modern environment or a more traditional space. The 14” version works well in bathrooms, closets, narrow corridors, and smaller kitchens. The 18” and 22” sizes are incredibly dynamic and work well in different environments such as commercial, residential, and hospitality applications.

The Ignis and Imber were inspired by the same design principles that make Cerno and ICRAVE well suited to collaborate. Honesty, simplicity, elemental, timeless and quality are words that sit at the core of both companies’ design ethos and we believe these light fixtures embrace these qualities well. Each fixture was reduced to its essential parts – frame and shade – highlighting the interplay of the components, and accentuating the clean lines of the form.
